 Novice flight Training (P2)

Your 6 day Novice Flight Training Course gives you the techniques and knowledge to become a HPAC certified paragliding pilot. You will be trained by top quality instructor available only at Air Vision Adventures.

 

Outline
  • Training takes place at the airfield or chosen flying site of the day.

  • Further training includes slope launch, "U" and "S" landing approaches.

  • Take off and land safely at intermediate sites.

  • Attend a total of two safety clinics from Air Vision Adventures.

  • The student should fly with his/her own paragliding equipment that is approved by our instructor.

  • Rental equipment is available for students taking this course.

  • Total training time includes 2 flyable* days at the chosen flying sites and 4 days at the airfield.

  • Additional training days are available for purchase. Please discuss with your instructor for more details if required.

 

Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years of age or have the signature of a parent or guardian.

  • Have signed an Air Vision Adventures School training waiver form.

  • Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language.

  • Be of reasonably good health that will allow moderate physical activity and allow the wearing of a helmet and paragliding harness.

  • Keep a log book of your flying/training activities.

  • Completed the Beginner Ground School course.

  • Completed the written HPAC Beginner test.

  • Completed the required HPAC Beginner practical "witnessed tasks".

  • Be registered as an HPAC member (Beginner rating).

  • Complete the Novice Ground School Course

  • Complete the HPAC written Novice test.

  • Complete the HPAC Novice practical "witnessed tasks".

  • Flyable* - Our instructor approves the weather and wind condition at a paragliding site to be suitable for students to take off, glide and land safely.

  • Students may reschedule for the next available training day should cancellation occur due to weather.

  • Please make your own transportation arrangement.
